Did you know?
Identity theft happens both online and offline. One of the ways that identity thieves collect personal and financial information about members of the public offline, is to sift through carelessly discarded trash. Many people throw bank statements, utility bills and other potentially sensitive documentation away without shredding it first. An identity thief can find enough about someone - just from their dustbin or mailbox - to steal their identity. Identity thieves steal personal and financial information online more purposely, with phishing attempts for example - but it is often as a result of carelessness and/or complacency, regarding personal and financial information.

Peggy asked:

My work is thinking about offering identity theft protection to its employees at a discounted rate. I think its an excellent idea because my mother was a victim a few years ago! My work is thinking about signing up with SOLUS. Has everyone ever heard of them? I did check out their website and it looks very very good! Just getting others opinions because I think Im going to sign my entire family up. Their website is www.solusid.com

I don’t think my work offers identity theft protection, but it would be nice if they did. I have identity theft protection with Solus ID and am very happy with their service. The protection covers your family for one low price.
